Mobile, AL - The Knights were on the road on Sunday, March 19th as they traveled to Mobile, Alabama to take on the top-ranked Rams of the University of Mobile. The Knights were riding a 13-game winning streak and were looking to play well against a ranked opponent. The Knights would get things started in the second inning with an RBI single from
Georgia Bice that would put the Knights up 1-0. The Knights would score two more runs in the fourth inning with a sacrifice fly from
Alexis Cosgrove and an RBI double from Bice and the Knights would take a 3-0 lead. The Knights would stay hot as they would score another run in the fifth inning on an
Emma Raulerson sacrifice fly and score two runs in the sixth inning on a
Lauren Heath RBI double and a
Morgan Windham RBI single as the Knights would take a 6-0 lead. The Knights would keep the Rams off the scoreboard as they would win the first game of the series 6-0.
Beth Eddins would get the shutout victory, allowing four hits and striking out four batters. The Knights would look to stay hot in the second game of the series as they looked to get the sweep over the Rams.
