Cochran, GA - The Knights were back on their home field on Tuesday, March 7th as they hosted the #20 Eagles of Reinhardt University. The Knights were coming off of a three game conference opening series that saw the Knights get swept so they were looking to get back on track. The Knights would score the first run of the game in the first inning after an error by the Eagles would allow
Ryan Wilson to score and the Knights would lead 1-0. The Knights would get two more runs in the third inning on back-to-back home runs from
Jacob Pierce and Wilson, both hitting their sixth home runs of the season, and the Knights would extend their lead to 3-0. The Eagles would score two runs in the fourth inning as they would cut the lead to 3-2 but the Knights would answer back in the bottom half of the inning with a three-run home run from
Adam Alicea-Brooks that would put the Knights up 6-2. The both offenses would go quiet as the game would move along quickly until the ninth inning. The Eagles would try to make a comeback on the Knights as they would score two runs in the inning but the Knights would hold them off as they would win the game 6-4. The win moves the Knights record to 10-10 as they will hit the road this weekend for another conference series as they travel to Montgomery, Alabama to take on the 6th-ranked Eagles of Faulkner University.
