Cochran, GA - The Knights were back in action on Tuesday, January 23rd as they hosted the Tigers of Voorhees University. The Knights came into the game having not won a game in over two months and were facing a Voorhees team that, on paper, was a similar team. The Knights would get off to a hot start as they would hit the first three shots of the game, all from beyond the three point line as they would go up 9-0. The Knights would continue their hot start as they would extend their lead to 13 points but the Tigers would end the first quarter on a 7-0 run and the Knights would lead 23-17. The lead for the Knights would be trimmed down to one point but they would find their offensive rhythm and jump back out to a nine point lead before going into the halftime break up 38-31. The Knights would start the third quarter by increasing their lead to 10 points before the Tigers would slowly trim away and cut the lead down to three points. The Knights would end the third quarter up 52-47. The lead for the Knights would grow to 11 points in the fourth quarter but the Tigers would not go away quietly as the lead would get cut to four points with :38 seconds remaining in the game. The Knights would hit their free throws down the stretch as they would go on to win 71-63. Chloe Pollock led the Knights with 19 points, shooting 7-of-13 from the field including 5-of-7 from beyond the three point line. Brianna McRae would add 15 points and Vanessa Samuel would add 10 points. The Knights will be back in action on Thursday, January 25th as they travel to Pulaski, Tennessee to take on the Firehawks of UT-Southern. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 PM EST.
