Mount Vernon, GA - The Knights hit the road for the first time this season as they traveled to Mount Vernon, Georgia to take part in the Brewton-Parker Classic. The Knights were set to take on the Centurions of Carolina Christian College of the NCCAA and were looking to pick up another win.
The game would go the way of the Knights from the opening tip as the Knights would score the first points of the game with a 3-point field goal and they would quickly be up by double digits after only four minutes of play. The Knights lead would continue to grow as they would lead by as many as 23 points in the first half before heading into halftime with a 45-26 lead. The Knights would continue to put pressure on the Centurions as they would extend their lead to 30 points with 12:19 remaining in the game. The Centurions would cut the lead down to 25 points but the Knights would recover and pull away as they would go on to win 100-52.
Nick Cham led the Knights with 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the field as
Andrew Prestwood,
David Ganious, and
Trevon Ragland would each reach double digits in scoring. Ganious led the team with six assists and
Milique Smith led with six rebounds.
The Knights will be back on the court again tomorrow as they wrap up the Brewton-Parker Classic with a game against the Mighty Banyans of New College of Florida. Tip off is scheduled for 2:30 PM EST.
