Tifton, GA - The Knights were on the road to open their conference schedule on Thursday, November 14th as they traveled to Tifton, Georgia to take on the Stallions of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. The Knights were riding a two-game winning streak and looking to extend it.
The Knights were in for a competitive matchup with the conference newcomers as both teams would play well. The Knights would jump out to an early lead but the Stallions would play them close. The Knights would get out to a 10 point lead with six minutes left in the first half but the Stallions would fight back and the Knights would hold a 36-35 lead at the halftime break. The Knights would jump out to a five point lead early in the second half but the Stallions would reel them back in as the game would remain close. The Knights would find some momentum late in the second half to gain an eight point advantage. The Stallions would close the gap down to two points but the Knights would hang on as they would win the game 78-73.
Trashawn Wilson led the Knights with 20 points with
Milique Smith adding a 17 point - 12 rebound double-double.
The Knights will be back in action on Saturday, November 16th when they travel to Thomasville, Georgia to take on the Nighthawks of Thomas University. Tip off is scheduled for 2 PM EST.
