Cochran, GA - The Knights were back on their home court on Wednesday, December 4th as they hosted the Running Eagles of Life University. The Knights were undefeated in conference play and were looking to remain that way.
The Knights would face a deficit early on as the Running Eagles would score the first five points of the game but the Knights would come back to tie the game at 11-11. After taking a 12-11 lead, the Knights would go on a scoreless streak as the Running Eagles would use a 12 point run to take a 23-12 lead. The Knights would fight their way back the rest of the first half as they would tie the game at 32-32 going into the halftime break. The Knights would come out firing, scoring the first five points of the half, but the Running Eagles would tie the game at 37-37. The game would be a battle between the two teams as both teams fought for control. Both teams would take the lead in the final minutes of the game with the Running Eagles making two key free throws late in the game and the Knights would fall 75-73.
Jamal Taylor led the Knights with 15 points as
Trashawn Wilson added 13 points and
Milique Smith and
Trevon Ragland each adding 12 points.
The Knights will be back in action on Friday, December 13th as they travel to Dalton, Georgia to take on the Roadrunners of Dalton State College. Tip off is scheduled for 7 PM EST.
