Thomasville, GA - The Knights returned to Thomasville, Georgia on Sunday, March 3rd as they were set to finish off the series against the Night Hawks of Thomas University. The Knights lost two close games on Thursday and were looking to reverse their fortune on Sunday. The Knights would keep the Night Hawks off the scoreboard early as the Knights would finally break through in the third inning as they would get an RBI single from
Jacob Pierce, and RBI double from
Ryan Wilson, and a sacrifice fly from
Yariel Diaz to take a 3-0 lead. The Knights would add an insurance run in the sixth inning with another RBI single from Pierce as they would go ahead 4-0. The Knights would give up six runs in the bottom half of the inning to trail 6-4. The Knights would threaten in the eighth inning but would be unsuccessful in scoring any runs as they would lose the game, 6-4.
The Knights record falls to 8-10, 4-5 SSAC on the season as they will look to rebound on Tuesday, March 5th when they host the Sand Sharks of USC-Beaufort. First pitch is scheduled for 3 PM EST.
