Cochran, GA - The Knights were back in action on Saturday, April 6th as they finished off the conference series against the Firehawks of UT-Southern. The Knights won both games of the series on Friday and were looking to do the same in the series finale as they celebrated Senior Day.
The Knights would get off to a slow start as they would give up two runs in the second inning, one run in the third inning, and four runs in the fourth inning as they would face a 7-0 deficit early in the game. The Knights would get on the scoreboard in the fourth inning with a two-run home run by
Jaiden Duarte and an RBI double by
Hunter Noblitt as they would cut the lead down to 7-3. The Knights would add another run in the fifth inning as they would score a run on a wild pitch to get within three runs of the Firehawks. The Knights would have no more luck on offense as the Firehawks would score three runs in the seventh inning and one run in the eighth inning as the Knights would lose the game 11-4.
The Knights will be back in action on Wednesday, April 10th when they host the Nighthawks of Thomas University in a mid-week matchup that will not count toward the conference record. First pitch is scheduled for 5 PM EST.
