MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Knights edged out the Crusaders of William Carey University to claim the top spot in the 2024-25 SSAC Women's Tennis Coaches' Preseason Poll. The Knights will begin the season as the team to beat after having won the SSAC Tournament two out of the last three seasons and runner-up in 2023. The Knights return four players from last season and add five new players, three transfers and two freshman, to try and repeat as SSAC champions.
 

Tom Bates, Middle Georgia Head Coach:  "It is an honor to be the slight favorite for our conference going into the year! But I know the other teams will be stronger than ever and three to four teams could have been voted co-favorites. We will begin the long season September 1st and hopefully many of our teams will advance to Nationals in May! I wish all of our teams good luck for the season, let's go!"
