Cochran, GA - The Knights were in action on Thursday, August 22nd as they opened the much anticipated season at home against the Gyrenes of Ave Maria University. The Knights and Gyrenes were both opening their seasons on Thursday and the Knights were looking to improve upon last season with a win.

The Knights would look in control in the first half of the match as they would hold offensive possession throughout most of the half, with a number of opportunities to score, but they would be unable to find the back of the net. The Knights would have to make an adjustment at halftime as the Gyrenes would look in control of the match in the second half but the defense for the Knights would hold their own as the match would end in a 0-0 draw. The Knights outshot the Gyrenes 10-7 (4-3 on goal).

The Knights will return to action on Saturday, August 24th as they return to Nesmith Field with a match against the Eagles of Pensacola Christian College. Kickoff is slated for 3 PM EST.
