Cochran, Georgia - The Knights were back on the pitch on Saturday, August 24th as they hosted the Eagles of Pensacola Christian College. The Knights were coming off of a tie against Ave Maria University and were looking to build upon their positive momentum.
The Knights would start off the game having to play defense the first ten minutes as the Eagles would get off two shots before the Knights would take over offensively. The Knights would get off a couple of shots before
Adrian Molitor would find the back of the net in the 18th minute with an assist from
Vilem Korinek. The ball would go back and forth between the two teams until the 36th minute when the Eagles would have a player sent off due to a red card. The Knights would take the game over with two goals from
Branden Glover in the 38th and 41st minutes with
Rhys Bryant-Jones assisting on the latter of the two goals. The Knights would head into the halftime break with a 3-0 lead. The Knights would continue to have opportunities in the second half due to the man advantage and would score one more goal in the 89th minute off the foot of
James Skelton to take a 4-0 lead and win the game by the same score.
The win moves the Knights to 1-0-1 on the season as they prepare to hit the road on Wednesday, August 28th when they travel to Columbia, South Carolina to take on the Koalas of Columbia College. Kick off is scheduled for 7:30 PM EST.
