COCHRAN, Ga. - The Knights were back on their home pitch on Saturday as they hosted the Pacers of USC-Aiken. The Knights previously lost to the Pacers 2-0 and were looking to turn their luck around with a win at home.
The Knights started off playing well as they held the ball in their offensive half for most of the first 15 minutes of the match. The first shot of the match came in the 14th minute before the Pacers started to hold more possession. The defense held up well in the first half until the Pacers found the back of the net in the 42nd minute with the Knights now facing a 1-0 deficit that carried over into halftime. The Knights had a couple of shots coming out of the halftime break but the Pacers controlled the pace of the game as they scored three more goals in the 79th, 84th, and 86th minutes and the Knights lost 4-0. The Knights were out shot 13-7, 7-0 shots on goal.
The Knights will be back in action on Wednesday, October 15th as they head to Americus, Georgia to take on the Hurricanes of Georgia Southwestern. Kick off is scheduled for 7 PM EST.
