AMERICUS, Ga. - The Knights hit the road on Wednesday as they headed to Americus, Georgia to take on the Hurricanes of Georgia Southwestern. The Knights had lost each of their last two matches by four goals and were looking to keep the Hurricanes down.

The Knights started off the match playing aggressive on offense as they got off two shots before the Hurricanes could get their first. The Hurricanes got possession and pushed the Knights until the Hurricanes got the first goal of the match. The Hurricanes kept firing shots but the Knights defense kept them off the scoreboard as the deficit remained 1-0 at halftime. The Knights continued to face shots from the Hurricanes in the second half with the Knights only getting off two shots before the Hurricanes scored their second goal of the match. The Knights did not go down without a fight as they scored a goal in the 87th minute but would not get the equalizer as they lost the match 2-1. The Hurricanes outshot the Knights 16-5, 7-2 shots on goal.

The Knights will be back on their home pitch on Saturday, October 18th as they face the Saints of Flagler College. Kick off is scheduled for 3:30 PM EST.
