DAHLONEGA, Ga. - The Knights were back on the road on Saturday as they faced the 4th-ranked Nighthawks of the University of North Georgia. The Knights were coming off of a loss to 6th-ranked West Florida and looking to hang with another top ranked team.
The Nighthawks did not take long to show why they were a highly ranked team as the scored their first goal in the fifth minute of the match. The Nighthawks continued to attack the Knights but the defense held strong. The Knights got their first shot in the 34th minute but it was blocked by the Nighthawks defense. The Nighthawks scored the second goal of the match in the 35th minute as the Knights trailed 2-0 heading into halftime. The Nighthawks kept their attack up in the second half as they scored three more goals. The Knights had one shot in the 68th minute from
Safiya Dean that missed high as the Knights lost the match 5-0.
Hollie Keefe made nine saves in goal.
The Knights will be back in action on Monday, October 20th as they hit the road again to face the Panthers of Lagrange College. Kick off is scheduled for 5 PM EST.
