MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Knights hit the road on Saturday as they made the short trip to Milledgeville, Georgia to take on the Bobcats of Georgia College. The Knights were looking for their first Peach Belt Conference win as they had played some close matches but could not lock down the win.
The first set was a tale of the same story as both teams played each other closely. Neither team was able to jump out to a large lead until the Bobcats went up 16-12. The Knights used a six point run to take an 18-16 lead but the Bobcats used a timeout to stop the momentum. The set continued to be close until the Bobcats scored the final three points of the set to hand the Knights a 25-23 loss.
The Knights fell behind 6-0 in the second set but used a five point run to get within one point. The Knights eventually grabbed the lead but were only able to get out by as many as two points. The set was close until the end when the Bobcats scored the final five points of the set and the Knights lost 25-21.
The third set started off close with both teams trading the lead. The Bobcats used a seven point run to take a 10-4 lead. The Knights worked to fight back but were unable to get back in the set as they lost 25-17.

Mia Matheney led the Knights with nine kills each,
Ellie Johnson led with 26 assists, and
Paige Collier had 16 digs to lead the team.
The Knights will be back on the court on Tuesday, October 4
th as they head to Atlanta, Georgia to take on the Panthers of Clark Atlanta University and the Hawks of Shorter University in a tri-match. Tip off is scheduled for 2 PM EST.
