COCHRAN, Ga. – Middle Georgia State University head coach
Scott Moe has announced the 2025-26 Knights' men's basketball schedule. The Knights are coming off a successful NAIA postseason run from a season ago and are looking to carry that success over into their first season competing against a challenging NCAA Division II and Peach Belt Conference schedule.
The Knights are set to return their two leading scorers from last season, including All-Conference first-team member
Milique Smith (13.7 PPG) and second-team selection
Nick Cham (13.4 PPG) while bringing in nine new faces for the upcoming season.
MGA will start off their inaugural NCAA Division II campaign on the road with a pair of games against Young Harris College and Shorter University on November 14-15. The squad will welcome Voorhees University for the home opener on Monday, Nov. 17
th before hosting in-state rival Valdosta State University just two days later. The Knights will battle two more non-conference games against the University of Mount Olive and Barton College at the Pickle Classic in Mount Olive, North Caroline on Nov. 21-22 before returning a trip to Valdosta State during Thanksgiving week.
The Peach Belt Conference schedule will start on Wednesday, December 3
rd as the Knights head to nearby Americus, Georgia to take on the Hurricanes of Georgia Southwestern. The home conference opener will take place on Saturday, December 6
th against the Pacers of USC-Aiken before the Knights hit the road again to take on Georgia College. The Knights will close out the calendar year with a brief two-game PBC homestand against USC-Beaufort and Flagler College on December 13
th and 16
th respectively.
The new year opens quickly with a January 3
rd matchup at home versus Augusta University as the PBC conference slate moves full force. After hosting the Jaguars the team heads north to matchup against Clayton State University on January 10
th before the Knights host the University of North Georgia back in Morris Gym on January 14
th.
Up next features road contests at Lander University and Columbus State University before hosting Georgia Southwestern on January 24
th. The final non-conference game takes place on January 26
th at Voorhees University before hosting Georgia College on January 28
th.
The Knights will have a three-game road trip to close out January and roll into February as they will travel to USC-Aiken (Jan. 31), Flagler College (Feb. 4), and USC-Beaufort (Feb. 7) before returning home to take on Clayton State on February 11
th.
The Purple and Black go out for their final two road games of the regular season with a Valentines date with North Georgia and a game one week later at Augusta University before returning home to finish out the regular season against Columbus State and Lander University.
The Peach Belt Conference Tournament will take place March 4-8 at the highest remaining seeds.
