MACON, Ga. - The Knights were back on their home court on Friday night as they hosted the Bobcats of Georgia College. The Knights previously played the Bobcats on October 4th, losing 3-0, and were hoping to find a better result.
The Knights started the first set slow by losing the first three points but tied the set at 4-4. The Bobcats used a four point run to pull ahead but the Knights fought back and tied the set at 12-12. The Knights grabbed a 16-14 lead but a five point run by the Bobcats put them in lead and the Knights were unable to regain it as they lost the set 25-21. Another slow start in the second set put the Knights behind but they came back to tie the set at 7-7. A four point run by the Bobcats put them ahead as the Knights tried to gain the lead back but the Bobcats held on to the lead and the Knights lost 25-22. The third set was the worst start of the night for the Knights as they fell behind 10-3. The Knights continued to fight back against the Bobcats as they got to within two point late in the set but they ran out of time as they lost the set 25-21.
McCall Wolf led the Knights with 15 kills,
Ellie Johnson had 17 assists, and
Paige Collier had 22 digs.
The Knights will be back on the court on Saturday, November 14th as they host the Bobcats and celebrate Senior Night. Tip off is scheduled for 3 PM EST.
