MACON, Ga. - The Knights were back on their home court for the final time this season as they hosted the Bobcats of Georgia College. The Knights lost to the Bobcats on Friday in three close sets and they were looking to steal a victory at home.
The Knights got out to a 3-2 start in the first set but the Bobcats had a five point run to take the lead. The Knights were able to get back within one point of the Bobcats but the Bobcats were able to get some distance and the Knights lost the set 25-19. After the Bobcats opened the second set with a three point lead, the Knights clawed back to take a one point lead. The Bobcats got back out a six point lead but the Knights attempted a comeback as they trimmed the lead to two points before losing the set 25-20. The Bobcats got out to another three point lead in the third set before the Knights closed the lead to one point. The Bobcats extended their lead back out to seven points before the Knights cut it down to three points. The Bobcats won 10 of the last 12 points of the set as the Knights lost 25-14.
McCall Wolf led the Knights with 13 kills and 10 digs and
Aubrie Beard had 18 assists.
The Knights will await the results of other Peach Belt matches to find out who and where they play in the Peach Belt Conference Tournament.
