Box Score AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Knights were back in action on Thursday as they hit the road and headed to Augusta, Georgia to take on the Lions of Paine College. The Knights were riding a wave of momentum as they started off the season with wins over Converse University and King University.
 
The Knights got out to a hot start as they started the game on a 7-0 run. The Lions were able to hit shots as they cut the lead down to two points with the Knights holding an 11-9 lead. The game picked up late in the first quarter as both teams started to make more shots and the quarter ended with the Knights up 24-16. The second quarter got off to a slow start for both teams as the Knights made the first shot of the quarter after three minutes had been played. The Lions cut the lead down to seven points halfway through the quarter before the Knights picked the pace back up. The Knights ended the second quarter with a 14-4 run to take a 42-25 lead into halftime. The Knights kept up the pressure in the third quarter as they started to pull away from the Lions. The Knights defense held the Lions to 12 points in the quarter while the offense scored 26 points to take a 68-37 lead. The Knights and Lions played equally in the fourth quarter as the Knights went on to win the game 79-52. Kennedi Hawkins led the Knights with 22 points and 11 rebounds while Kristen Foglia had 14 points and Mauryah Jones had 11 points.
 
The Knights will be back in action on Tuesday, November 25^th as they take the court at home for the first time this season against Johnson C Smith University. Tip off is scheduled for 5:30 PM EST.
