MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – The Knights were back on the court on Saturday as they were set to face the Bulldogs of Barton College. The Knights saw their winning streak end on Friday and they were looking to start a new one.
The Knights came ready to play on Saturday as they quickly jumped on the Bulldogs and were up by double digits after four minutes of play. The Bulldogs were able to cut the lead to eight points but the Knights used an 11-point run to pull further ahead. The game went back-and-forth for the rest of the first half and the Knights held a 55-33 lead at halftime. The Knights found trouble to start the second half as they were unable to hit any shots and the Bulldogs were able to cut the lead down to 10 points. The Knights finally started to drain some shots and their lead grew back out to 20 points. The Bulldogs fought back to cut the lead to 10 points with 4:40 remaining in the game but the Knights used a late run to seal the game and won 95-77.
Greg Jones led the Knights with 18 points as
OT Delancy had 14 points,
Joshua Robertson and
Krishen Atwal each had 13 points,
Jabarri Williams had 11 points, and
Trevon Ragland had 10 points.
The Knights will be back in action on Monday, November 24
th as they head to Valdosta, Georgia to take on the Blazers of Valdosta State University. Tip off is scheduled for 7 PM EST.
