SAINT AUGUSTINE, Fla. - The Knights were back in action on Saturday as they faced the Saints of Flagler College for the second straight day. The Knights lost 3-0 to the Saints on Friday and were looking to have a better performance on Saturday.
The Knights jumped out to an early lead in the first set as they held a 5-3 lead before the Saints tied the set at 10-10. The Saints used two three-point runs and a four-point run to pull ahead of the Knights and the Knights lost the set 25-20. The Knights had another early lead in the second set before the Saints won eight of the next nine points. The Knights made a charge to tie the set at 14-14 but the Saints used a seven-point run to pull back ahead and the Knights lost the set 25-17. The third set started with the Saints winning 10 of the first 11 points that put the Knights in a hole. The Knights were unable to dig themselves out of the hole as they lost the set 25-11.
McCall Wolf led the Knights with seven kills and
Ellie Johnson led the way with 10 assists and 13 digs.
The Knights will return home for the final regular season series, beginning on Friday, November 14th when they host the Bobcats of Georgia College. Tip off is scheduled for 6 PM EST.
