COCHRAN, Ga. - The Knights were back on the court on Wednesday as they hosted the Saints of Flagler College. The Knights were looking to get back in the win column after a close loss to USC-Beaufort in their last game while the Saints were winners of their last two games.
The Knights hit two free throws for their first points of the game but the Saints tied the game back up at 2-2. The Knights kept the offense rolling as they went up by ten points with 4:00 remaining in the first quarter. A six point run by the Saints closed the gap down to four points before the Knights ended the quarter up 21-16. The Saints cut the lead down to one point early in the second quarter and the Knights answered back in key moments. The Knights were unable to put a large gap on the Saints but never lost the lead throughout the second quarter as they went into the halftime break up 34-31.
The Knights offense struggled coming out of the break as the Saints tied the game at 34-34. A six point run by the Knights got them back out in front but the Saints answered back with an ten point run of their own as the Knights trailed for the first time of the night. The Knights ended the third quarter with a five point run to get back out in front as they led 45-44. The momentum carried over into the fourth quarter as the Knights jumped out to an eight point lead. The Saints would not quit as they tied the game at 52-52 with 1:55 remaining in the game. The final seconds decided the game as the Knights hit a shot with seven seconds left to take a two point lead. The Saints called a timeout to draw up a play and hit a three-pointer with five seconds left to take a one point lead. The Knights called their won timeout to set up their own play to try and win the game.
Mauryah Jones got the inbounds pass and drove the lane to hit the buzzer beater to give the Knights the 56-55 victory.

Milanni Abdus-Salaam added 12 points with both players coming off of the bench.
The Knights will be back on their home court on Saturday, December 20th when they host the Panthers of Claflin University. Tip off is scheduled for 1:30 PM EST.
