COCHRAN, Ga. - The Knights were back on their home court on Wednesday as they hosted the Scotties of Agnes Scott College. The Knights had a two game winning streak heading into the game while the Scotties had lost their last three games.
The game started off well for the Knights as they hit two three-point shots to score the first six points as the Scotties struggled to keep up. The Knights quickly jumped out to a double digits lead and led by as much as 19 points in the first quarter before ending the quarter up 30-12. The lead continued to increase in the second quarter as the Knights held the Scotties to only six points in the quarter and the Knights headed into the halftime break up 46-18.
The pace slowed in the third quarter as both teams worked to find their offense. The Knights scored ten points in the quarter while the Scotties scored eight points and the Knights maintained their lead headed into the fourth quarter. The Knights reached their largest lead in the fourth quarter when they went up by 37 points. The final point was scored with 2:31 remaining in the game as the Knights won the game 72-36.
Milanni Abdus-Salaam led the Knights with 16 points and 10 rebounds for her first double-double of the season as
Ella Pritchard and
Kristen Foglia each added 12 points.
The Knights will be back in action on Saturday, January 3rd when they host the Jaguars of Augusta University. Tip off is scheduled for 1:30 PM EST.
