COCHRAN, Ga. - The Knights were back on the court on Saturday as they hosted the Pacers of USC-Aiken in their first Peach Belt Conference home game. The Knights were coming off of their first loss of the season against Georgia Southwestern and looked to start a new winning streak.

The Pacers hit the first shot of the game but the Knights scored six straight point to take the lead. The Pacers tied the game at 12-12 and grabbed a six point lead late in the first quarter. The Knights were able to cut the lead down to three points at the end of the quarter, trailing 21-18. The Knights cut the lead down to one point at the start of the second quarter but the Pacers quickly pushed the lead back out to six points. The Knights found themselves down by seven points late in the quarter and trailed 35-29 at halftime.

The Knights came out of the break ready to play as they tied the game at 38-38 and took the lead. The lead grew to six points before the Pacers cut it down to two points but the Knights went back ahead by six points at the end of the third quarter. The Pacers were able to cut the lead down to three points in the fourth quarter but the Knights controlled the fourth quarter as they pulled away late in the quarter to win 68-60.

Mauryah Jones led the Knights with 17 points off the bench as Mireia Pou added 16 points and five steals. Ella Pritchard led the team with 11 rebounds.

The Knights will be back on the court on Tuesday, December 9th when they travel to Milledgeville, Georgia to take on the Bobcats of Georgia College. Tip off is scheduled for 5:30 PM EST.
