Marietta, GA - The Knights were on the road on Thursday, February 13th as they were set to take on the Running Eagles of Life University in Marietta, Georgia. The Knights were coming off of their second win of the season and looking to keep up their momentum on the road.
The Running Eagles grabbed the early lead with two 3-point shots but the Knights fought back to tie the game at 8-8. The Knights kept the Running Eagles from pulling away as the quarter ended with the Knights trailing by one point. The Running Eagles continued to hit shots in the second quarter while the Knights shooting went cold and the Knights soon found themselves down by double digits. The Knights went into halftime down 37-24. The cold shooting for the Knights continued into the third quarter with the Running Eagles pulling away and the Knights trailed 60-38 at the end of the third quarter. The Knights made their first shot of the fourth quarter but a 9-0 run by the Running Eagles all but sealed the game with the Knights falling 74-51.
ZaKyria Johnson led the Knights with 12 points and
Kyla Raven added 11 points off the bench.
The Knights will be back in action on Saturday, February 15th as they take on the Skyhawks of Point University. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 PM EST.
