Cochran, GA - The Knights were on their home court for Senior Night on Wednesday, February 19th as they hosted the Nighthawks of Thomas University. The Knights and Nighthawks played a close game earlier in the season and the Knights were looking to keep their winning streak going.
The Knights looked to keep up early in the game but the Nighthawks could not miss as the Knights slowly fell behind. The Knights found themselves down by 20 points with 10:32 remaining in the first half but an eight point run cut the deficit down to 12 points. The Knights got the deficit down to nine points before the Nighthawks got hot again and the Knights trailed by 16 points at halftime. The Knights tried to chip away at the lead in the second half and started to make some progress as they got within nine points with 14:21 remaining in the game. The deficit was cut down to four points with 9:41 remaining in the game but the Nighthawks answered back and had an 11 point lead with 2:53 remaining. The Knights worked to cut the lead down to three points late in the game but ran out of time as they lost 94-88.
Nick Cham led the Knights with 20 points as four other Knights reached double digits in scoring.
The Knights will travel to Mount Vernon, Georgia on Satruday, February 22nd to take on the Barons of Brewton-Parker College in the final regular season game. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 PM EST.
