Columbus, GA - The Knights were back on the field on Tuesday, February 25th as they traveled down GA-96 to Columbus, Georgia to take on the Cougars of Columbus State University. The Knights were coming off of a road sweep to William Carey and hoping to turn their luck around.
The Knights got their first hit of the game in the second inning from
Tate Abbott but were unable to capitalize. Their best chance of the game came in the fourth inning when
Michael Flaherty and
Datren Bray hit back-to-back singles but the Knights were unable to push a run across. Singles by Flaherty in the sixth inning and
Zane Faulk in the seventh inning capped off the hitting for the Knights as the Cougars scored nine runs across the middle innings and the Knights lost 9-0.
The Knights will be back at Stuckey Field on Friday, February 28th when they host the Skyhawks of Point University. First pitch is scheduled for 3 PM EST.
