Cochran, GA - The Knights were on their home court on Thursday, February 6th for the first time in ten days as they hosted the Golden Rams of Albany State University. The Knights looked to see where they stand against future NCAA D-II competition.

The Knights kept the Golden Rams close within the first few minutes of the game as the Knights were within two points with 3:59 left in the first quarter. The pace of the Golden Rams pushed the Knights to keep up as the Golden Rams led by 11 points at the end of the first quarter. The pace of the Golden Rams was a different style than what the Knights were used to and the Knights faced a 23 point deficit with 6:15 remaining in the second quarter. The Knights scored their first basket of the quarter with 4:55 remaining and they were down 46-25 at halftime. The Knights started to attempt their comeback in the third quarter as they shrunk the deficit down to 15 points but the Golden Rams led by 20 points at the end of the third quarter. The deficit grew to 25 points in the final quarter but the Knights comeback would start as they got the deficit down to 11 points but ran out of time with the final score 82-71. ZaKyria Johnson led the Knights with 22 points as Brianna McRae and Keiane' Rollins added 16 points each and India Johnson added 10 points.

The Knights will return to action on Monday, February 10th when they host the Fillies of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 PM EST.
