Mobile, AL – The Knights were back in action on Saturday, April 19
th as they wrapped up their conference road series against the University of Mobile with one final game. The Knights won the first two games of the series and were looking to come away with the sweep.
The Knights fell behind early as the Rams scored one run in the first inning and three runs in the third inning with the Knights facing a 4-0 deficit. A lead off single by

Michael Flaherty for a two-run home run as the Knights cut the deficit in half. The Knights struck again in the sixth inning with a solo home run from
Jaiden Duarte and a two-run home run from
Tate Abbott to take the 5-4 lead. A sacrifice fly in the seventh inning extended the lead to 6-4 for the Knights but the Rams scored one run in the eighth inning to cut the lead down to one run. The Knights remained up by one run heading into the bottom of the ninth inning where the Rams loaded the bases and hit a walkoff two-run single to hand the Knights a 7-6 loss.
The Knights will be back in action on Thursday, April 24
th as they head into the final conference series of the regular season against the Barons of Brewton-Parker College. First pitch is scheduled for 3 PM CDT.
