MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Southern States Athletic Conference announced the SSAC Softball Players of the Week, presented by WinWon. Middle Georgia State swept the awards, with Madison Cosgrove being named SSAC Softball Player of the Week and Emily Proctor being named SSAC Softball Pitcher of the Week. Cosgrove hit .750 on the week and slugged 1.333 with nine hits, 14 RBI, and eight stolen bases. It is her first career SSAC weekly award. Proctor was 3-0 on the week with 0.00 ERA and allowed only nine hits while striking out 21 batters. Proctor also threw two shutouts to set a new MGA single season shutout record.
