Jackson, TN – The Knights were on the road on Wednesday, April 30^th as they headed to Jackson, Tennessee to participate in the 2025 SSAC Baseball Tournament. The Knights were the 4-seed heading into their first game against the 5-seed Toppers of Blue Mountain Christian University. The Knights swept the Toppers earlier in the season and were looking to notch another win.
 
The Knights jumped on the Toppers early, scoring two runs in the first inning on a balk and an RBI single by Zane Faulk. The Toppers tied the game in the third inning with two runs to even the game at 2-2. The Knights pulled ahead in the fourth inning with four runs on RBI doubles by Jose Vargas and Chaz Salter and RBI singles by Zane Faulk and Michael Flaherty. The Knights continued to pull away from the Toppers with a run in the sixth inning on a sacrifice fly by Yadiel Perez, a solo home run in the seventh inning by Jaiden Duarte, and an RBI single in the eighth inning by Teonis Pimentel as the Knights won the game 9-2. Ethan Gill got the win, throwing six innings of work and striking out four batters, Jonah Friedman threw two innings of perfect work, and Titus Richardson pitched the ninth inning to close out the game.
 
The Knights move to 1-0 in pool play as they play again on Thursday, May 1^st against the Firehawks of UT-Southern. First pitch is scheduled for 7 PM CDT.
