Box Score Jackson, TN – The Knights were back in action on day two of the 2025 SSAC Baseball Tournament as they were set to take on the 8-seed Firehawks of UT-Southern. The Knights needed a win to put them into a winner-take-all situation against the 1-seed Crusaders of William Carey on Friday.
 
The Knights got the scoring started in the first inning with an RBI single by Zane Faulk and a fielder's choice from Michael Flaherty that put the Knights up 2-0. The Firehawks answered back in the third inning with five runs and the Knights faced a 5-2 deficit. The Knights got back on the scoreboard in the fourth inning after an error and walk led to a single by Teonis Pimentel and an error that allowed all three runners to score and the Knights tied the game at 5-5. A single by Jose Vargas and a sacrifice bunt led to another RBI single by Zane Faulk in the fifth inning that put the Knights ahead 6-5. The Firehawks scored two runs in the sixth inning and the game was scoreless through the final three innings of play.
 
The Knights finish up pool play on Friday, May 3^rd with a game against the Crusaders of William Carey University. First pitch is scheduled for 3 PM CDT.
