Box Score San Antonio, TX – The Knights were on the road in San Antonio, Texas on Monday, May 12^th as they were set to take on the Mountaineers of Eastern Oregon University in the 2025 NAIA Opening Round. The Knights were the 3-seed and the Mountaineers were the 2-seed.
 
The Knights went down in order in the first two innings before the Mountaineers led off the bottom of the second inning with a solo home run. The Knights led off the third inning with a single from Alexis Cosgrove but nothing came from it as the Knights continued to trail 1-0. The Mountaineers scored two more runs in the bottom of the third inning to extend the lead to 3-0. The Knights got another single in the fourth inning from Grace Avery but were unable to score. The Knights showed some signs of life in the sixth inning after Jenna Kirkland led the inning off with a single and Gabbie Haas reached on an error. A bunt single by Carmen Phillips loaded the bases and Madison Cosgrove drew a walk to bring the first run of the game in. Grace Avery knocked in the second run of the inning with a fielder's choice and the Knights closed within one run of the lead. The Knights went down in order in the seventh inning as they lost 3-2.
 
The Knights will be back on the field on Tuesday, May 13^th as they face the Mustangs of Central Baptist College. First pitch is scheduled for 8 AM CDT.
