Coach Scott Moe Announces Inaugural DII Class for 2025-26 Season

COCHRAN, Ga- Fresh off a 19 win season and an NAIA National Tournament berth, the Knights and Coach Scott Moe have signed eight new student-athletes to go along with five returners from last year's team. The 2025–26 season ushers in an exciting new chapter for the Knights as they make their debut in NCAA Division II, competing in the prestigious Peach Belt Conference—home to top-tier institutions from Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida.
 
Coach Moe on the 2025-26 signees "We are very excited about our first recruiting class as we join the NCAA and the Peach Belt Conference. We feel like we were able to address all of the needs to be successful next season. We made good use of the portal, as well as signing two junior college transfers to join our three high school signees. We see a lot of potential in this class and are excited to get them to campus!"

Krishen Atwal | Sophomore | Guard | Windermere, FL | USC- Beaufort
Krishen joins the Knights program after a successful season with Peach Belt Conference foe USC-Beaufort. Krishen was a part of a Sand Sharks team that won 21 games and competed for a PBC title. Atwal appeared in 30 contests with eight starts on the season while producing over 5 PPG in 15 minutes per contest. He joins the Knights with three years of eligibility and will add PBC experience and a scoring prowess to the MGA backcourt. Atwal on why he chose MGA: "Whether it was when I first talked to the coaching staff or meeting the returning players, I was welcomed with open arms. A feeling of love and familiarity for the game of basketball and for the people in the program radiated through my recruiting process, making it an easy decision."

Keegan Burroughs | Sophomore | Forward | Venice Beach, FL | Northeast CC
Burroughs joins MGA following his freshman season at Northeast Community College. The 6 '10 forward racked up 4 PPG and close to five rebounds per game in his freshman campaign for the Hawks. Keegan will join the Knights frontcourt and add valued size at the position. In addition to his size, Burroughs brings a unique skill set to the Knights program with his ability to be a threat from the perimeter as well. Keegan is a Venice Beach, FL native and returns to the east coast with three years of eligibility remaining. Burroughs on why he chose MGA: "I chose MGA because it felt like home- it seemed like a perfect place where I can grow with my coaches and teammates on and off the court"
 
O.T. Delancy | Redshirt Junior | Wing | St. Petersburg, FL | Barry University
Delancy comes to Cochran after spending three seasons at Barry University, a Division II power in Miami, FL. Delancy was a part of a national tournament team for the Buccaneers as well as two conference championship appearances over his time in Miami. Delancy has notched 40 starts in his career and is a career 8 PPG scorer throughout his tenure. O.T. brings a wealth of DII winning experience to the Knights program and a skill set that will blend seamlessly on both ends. Delancy on why he chose MGA: "I chose MGA because I was looking for a new place to grow, make new memories and create a winning culture."

Anthony "AJ" Johnson | Freshman | Guard | Dublin, GA | Dublin HS
Johnson joins the Knights program after a decorated career at Dublin High School. Johnson scored over 800 points in his three seasons at Dublin while leading the Irish in several other statistical categories. AJ brings an athletic scoring punch to MGA and is one of three very talented freshmen to join the program this season. Johnson on why he chose MGA:  "One of the biggest reasons I chose MGA was the respect I have for Coach Moe. Coach Hope, my high school coach, spoke very highly of Coach Moe & his program which played a huge role in my decision."
 
Kameron Plummer- Freshman | Guard | Warner Robins, GA | Houston County HS
Kameron Plummer joins the Knights after playing four years at Houston County High School for Head Coach Buddy Bivins. Bivins was a standout guard for the Middle Georgia program from (2011-2016). Plummer now takes his turn with the purple and black following a stellar senior season. Plummer started every game for the Bears who went on to amass 22 wins and a 5-A state tournament appearance. Plummer averaged 11.3 PPG and made 43 threes during the campaign. Plummer will bring a marksman to the MGA program, something the program highly values on that end of the floor. Plummer on why he chose MGA: "I chose Middle Georgia because it offers the perfect balance of competitive athletics and a supportive community that values growth on and off the court. I look forward to the opportunity to improve my game while building a strong foundation for my future."
 
Josh Robertson | Redshirt Junior | Guard | Tallahassee, FL | Thomas University
After competing against the Knights for two years at former SSAC foe Thomas University, Robertson makes the trek to MGA to join the Knights. Josh comes off a year where he averaged 9.4 PPG for the Nighthawks while racking up 93 assists in 28 contests. He was also a formidable defensive presence averaging over a steal per contest. Robertson solidifies a promising backcourt for the Knights with his skill-set and experience at the collegiate level. Robertson on why he chose MGA: "I chose MGA because it offers a unique platform to elevate my game, surrounded by a supportive community that shares the passion for basketball and dedication to excellence as I do."
 
Jabarri Williams | Freshman | Guard | Valdosta, GA | Valdosta, HS
Ranked as one of the top high-school guards in all of Georgia, Williams joins the MGA program and brings a ton of success and a great skill set with him. Jabarri scored over 900 points in his high school career and dished out 430 assists, including 177 in his senior campaign which was good for 7.7 per game. He led the Wildcats to 17 wins and a 6-A state tournament berth. Williams' heady play and knack for playmaking will suit him well in the Knight's up-tempo attack. Williams on why he chose MGA: "I chose MGA because it's a place where I can grow on and off the court and an opportunity to where I can continue to follow my passion. I'm looking forward to having a great season!"
