VALDOSTA, Ga. - The Knights headed down to Valdosta, Georgia on Friday as they kicked off their 2025 season at the Valdosta State Cross Country Border Clash. The Knights came into the season with a renewed vigor as
John Green takes over as the head coach. Newcomers
Agustina Olivero (25:48) and
Irina Furtuna (25:53) were the first Knights to cross the finish line. Ainhoa Meili Fernandez del Moral was the third Knight to finish in 27:50.
Yana Prihach (31:55) and Berta Castello Petrus (33:20) rounded out the top-5 for the Knights as
Chloe Key (33:35) and
Tamanna Takoria (34:02) finished off the day for the Knights. The Knights scored 306 points to finish in 11th place out of 13 teams, beating Chipola College and Pensacola State College. The Knights will be back out on the course next Friday, September 12th when they head to Dahlonega, Georgia to race in the UNG Invitational, hosted by the University of North Georgia. The race is scheduled to start at 6:30 PM EST.
