Macon, GA – The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) announced the Women's Cross Country Preseason Poll on Tuesday, August 18
th and the Knights were selected to finish in tenth. Eleven teams compete in the PBC in Women's Cross Country with the Knights picked to finish ahead of the Hurricanes of Georgia Southwestern.
The Knights return six runners from last season as they look to build upon their first year in NCAA Division II and the PBC. Four new runners add depth to the roster with two runners,
Lexi Grote and
Elizabeth Koenig, having been added in the Spring semester, while two more runners,
Rori Pandolfini and
Kelsey Sanders, join MGA in the Fall semester.
Pandolfini, a Junior transfer from Eastern Florida State College, competed for the Titans in the NJCAA for the last two seasons and consistently finished in the top two spots on the teams throughout her time in Melbourne, Florida.
Sanders, a Freshman from Bleckley County High School, comes from a storied program amongst the Georgia high school ranks. Sanders was a part of team that won the GHSA 1A – Division I state championship the last four years.
The Knights will begin their season on Saturday, September 5
th as they compete in the Julius Johnson Invitational, hosted by Mercer University at the Georgia Premier Cross Country Course.
