COCHRAN, Ga. - The Knights were back in action on their home pitch on Saturday as they hosted the Badgers of Spring Hill College. The came away with a draw in their first match against Valdosta State and were looking to come away with a win in this match.
The Knights got out on the attack early as they had four shots in the first 20 minutes of the match, three of which were saved by the Badgers keeper. Both teams created opportunities throughout the rest of the first half but neither team came away with a goal and the match remained 0-0. The Knights continued to create scoring chances in the second half but were unsuccessful in finding the back of the net but were helped on the defensive side as
Hollie Keefe kept the Badgers from pulling ahead with the match finishing in a 0-0 draw.
The Knights ended the match outshooting the Badgers 13 to 7. The Knights also held the nine to four edge in shots on target.
The Knights will hit the road for the first time this season on Friday, September 12th as head down to Florida to take on the Sailfish of Palm Beach Atlantic University. Kick off is scheduled for 6 PM EST.
