Knights Break Three Game Skid With Win Over Bobcats

COCHRAN, Ga. - The Knights were back in action on Wednesday, January 28th as they hosted the Bobcats of Georgia College. The Knights were trying to break a three game losing streak while the Bobcats lost their previous game. The Knights and Bobcats played earlier in the season with Knights coming out on top 67-60 in overtime.

The Knights started off the game scoring the first four points but the Bobcats were able to claw back and tie the game at 8-8. The Knights offense got going as they on a 13-5 run to take an eight point lead at the end of the first quarter. The Knights built their lead up to 11 points in the second quarter but were unable to put the Bobcats away as the lead shrunk down to four points late in the quarter before a late free throw gave the Knights a 32-27 lead heading into the halftime break.

The Knights and Bobcats both struggled in the third quarter. The Knights extended their back to eight points but the Bobcats cut it back down to five points by the end of the third quarter as both teams each scored just nine points in the quarter. The Knights started to pull away in the fourth quarter as they built a 13 point lead with 2:48 remaining in the game and it looked as if the Knights were well on their way to a win. The Bobcats fought their way back into the game and cut the lead down to one point but the Knights held on for the 56-55 victory.

Kristen Foglia led the Knights with 13 points off of the bench as Milanni Abdus-Salaam and Ella Pritchard were able to reach double digits in rebounds.
