AIKEN, S.C. - The Knights were back in action on Friday, January 30th as they headed to Aiken, South Carolina to take on the Pacers of USC-Aiken. The game was moved up from Saturday due to the threat of weather as the Knights would be on short rest while the Pacers had a full week of rest.
The first half started off well for the Knights as they kept pace with their opponents. The Knights some offense as they went up by seven points with 11:59 left in the half but the Pacers reigned them back in and the rest of the first half was tight as the Knights were down by one point at halftime.
The second half was not a great half for the Knights. The Pacers started off the half with a ten point run to put the Knights down by 11 points. The Knights cut the lead down to eight points but the Pacers kept their lead in double digits. The lead grew to as much as 20 points before the Knights started to try and make a comeback late in the half. The Knights were able to get within 14 points but the Pacers held them off and the Knights lost 92-76.
Joshua Robertson led the Knights with 27 points as
OT Delancy had 16 points and
Krishen Atwal added 10 points.
The Knights will be back on the road for their next game in Saint Augustine, Florida as they face the Saints of Flagler College on Wednesday, February 4th. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30 PM EST.
