NEWBERRY, S.C. - The Knights went out on the road on Saturday, October 3rd as they headed to Newberry, South Carolina to take on the Wolves of Newberry College. The Knights were on a three-match losing streak while the Wolves had lost their last two matches.
The Knights were on the attack early in the match and it would not take long for them to break through as Alvie Irving put the ball in the back of the net in the 12th minute to put the Knights up 1-0. The held the advantage into the second half until the Wolves scored the equalizing goal in the 59th minute. Both teams fired off shots but neither team was able to score as the match ended in a 1-1 draw. The Knights held a slight 15-9 advantage in shooting.
The Knights record moves to 3-7-2Â on the season as they return to Peach Belt Conference play on Wednesday, October 7th when they take on the Pacers of USC-Aiken. Kick off is scheduled for 4:30 PM EST.
