AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Knights were on the road for the final time this regular season on Saturday, February 21st as they headed to Augusta, Georgia to take on the Jaguars of Augusta University. The Knights were looking to get back on track after losing to North Georgia while the Jaguars lost their previous game against Clayton State.

Game Recap

The Knights went the first two minutes of the first quarter without scoring as the Jaguars were able to open up a six point lead. The Knights were able to close the deficit down to three points by the end of the quarter. The Knights opened up the second quarter with a nine-point run as they grabbed a six point lead but only scored two points in the final five minutes of the quarter with the Jaguars regaining the lead late and the Knights trailed 31-23 at halftime.

The offesnive woes carried over into the third quarter as the Knights scored seven points in the quarter and the Jaguars pulled away to lead by 24 points at the end of the quarter. The Knights would try and limit the damage in the fourth quarter as they cut the lead down to 20 but the Jaguars pulled away late and the Knights lost 69-44.

Notable Performances

Mauryah Jones led the Knights with 14 points as Kennedi Hawkins added another double-double to her season total with 12 points and 12 rebounds.

The Knights will return home on Wednesday, February 25th as they take on the Cougars of Columbus State University. Tip off is scheduled for 5:30 PM EST.
