SAINT AUGUSTINE, Fla. - The Knights hit the road again on Wednesday, February 4th as they headed down to Saint Augustine, Florida to take on the Saints of Flagler College. The Knights were back on a hot streak having won their past two games while the Saints lost their previous game against Columbus State. The Knights defeated the Saints at home earlier in the season on a buzzer beater shot and looked to get another win on the road.
Game Recap
The game with a competitive quarter as both teams hung around with neither team holding more than a three point lead in the quarter. The Knights got the better of the Saints at the end of the quarter as they held a 15-14 lead. The second quarter was much like the first with both teams keeping the other within a couple of points. There was less offense in the second quarter as both teams found it hard to find the bottom of the basket. The Saints scored 10 points while the Knights scored seven points and the Knights trailed 24-22 at halftime.
The offense got back on track in the third quarter as the Knights trailed by four points at one point in the third quarter but they used an 11-point run to grab a seven point lead in the quarter and led 39-35 at the end of the third quarter. The offense kept up their pace in the fourth quarter as the Saints did not score a point until 4:12 remaining in the game as the Knights pulled away to win 60-46.
Notable Performances
Kennedi Hawkins notched another double-double as she led the Knights with 16 points and 12 rebounds while
Kristen Foglia scored 11 points off of the bench and
Mireia Pou added on 10 points. The win sets a new program for wins in a single season, surpassing the 14 win season back in 2020-21.

The Knights will remain on the road for their next game on Saturday, February 7th as they take on the Sand Sharks of USC-Beaufort. Tip off is scheduled for 1:30 PM EST.
