COCHRAN, Ga. - The Knights were back on their home field on Friday, March 13th as they welcomed the Saints of Flagler College for a Peach Belt Conference series. The Knights were coming off of a series sweep against Augusta while the Saints lost their last two games against USC-Aiken.

Game Recap

The Knights jumped on the Saints early in the game with one run in the first inning on a Mel Bullock RBI single to take a 1-0 lead. The Saints tied the game in the third inning but the Knights answered back with another RBI single from Bullock. The Saints tied the game in the fifth inning and scored four runs in the sixth inning as they moved ahead 6-2. The Knights attempted a comeback as they scored three runs in the bottom half of the inning on an RBI single from Caroline Albritton and a two-run double from Jada Akeson as they cut the lead to 6-5. The Saints scored an extra run in the seventh inning and the Knights could not respond as they lost 7-5.

Notable Performances

Jada Akeson and Mel Bullock each went 3-for-4 at the plate.
