AUGUSTA, Ga. - The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) announced the Softball players of the week on Monday, March 30th and
Briana Murray was named the PBC Player of the Week. This is her first PBC Player of the Week honor.
Murray guided the Knights to a 4-1 record last week, with a split against Brewton-Parker and a PBC series sweep over Lander University. Murray went 6-for-15 at the plate with two home runs, three walks, and 11 runs batted in. Murray's first home run came in the first game against Brewton-Parker in the fifth inning that broke the scoreless tie and ended up being the deciding run. Her second home run came in game two of the PBC series against Lander that was a walkoff grand slam to give the Knights a 6-5 win.
