Defense Proves Costly Against Bobcats

COCHRAN, Ga. - The Knights were back on their home field on Sunday, March 8th as they wrapped up their series against the Bobcats of Georgia College. The series was split after the Knights won the first game and the Bobcats won the second game.

Game Recap

The game moved along quickly through the first two innings with neither team allowing more than one runner on base. The Knights threatened in the third inning as they were able to load the bases but were unable to push across any runs. The Bobcats came up in the fourth inning an scored two runs to take a 2-0 lead over the Knights. The Bobcats added five more runs in the sixth inning and one run in the eighth inning as they held an 8-0 lead. The Knights waited until the ninth inning to get a rally going as they got an RBI single from Sebastian Collender to avoid the shutout but did not score any more runs as they lost 8-1.

What's Up Next

The Knights head to Franklin Springs, Georgia to take on the Lions of Emmanuel University on Tuesday, March 10th. First pitch is scheduled for 5 PM EST.
