ORANGEBURG, S.C. - The Knights hit the road on Friday, April 10th as they headed to Orangeburg, South Carolina to take on the Panthers of Claflin University for a three game series. The Knights had lost their last three games and looking to right the ship against the Panthers.

The Knights jumped on the Panthers early in the game as
Mikal Ashley got the scoring started in the first inning with a two-run single.
Seve Fernandez hit an RBI single and
Luke Davis capped off the inning with a grand slam that put the Knights up 7-0 after the first inning. After the Panthers scored three runs, the Knights got all three runs back in the fifth inning with an RBI double from
Tate Abbott and a two-run home run from Davis to take a 10-3 lead. The Panthers scored another run in the seventh inning but the Knights poured on the runs in the eighth inning. Fernandez started the scoring with a two-run triple and was followed with a two-run home run from Abbott. RBI singles from
Teonis Pimentel and
Justin Aponte set up Ashley for a three-run double to round out the inning and put the Knights up 19-4 as they would win the game by the same score.
Notable Performances
Luke Davis went 3-for-4 at the plate with two home runs and six RBI while
Tate Abbott went 3-for-6 with a home run and three RBI.
