ROME, Ga. - The Knights headed back out on the road on Tuesday, April 14th as they went to Rome, Georgia to take on the Hawks of Shorter University. The Knights previously played the Hawks earlier in the season, losing 8-4, and were looking to even up the season series.
Game Recap
The Knights struck first in the first inning with a sacrifice fly from
Patrick Crosby but a solo home run by the Hawks in the bottom of the inning tied the game up at 1-1. The Knights struck again in the second inning with RBI singles by
Garrett Frost and
Luke Davis to go up 3-1 but the Hawks cut the deficit down to 3-2 in the bottom half of the inning. The scoring stopped until the sixth inning when the Hawks scored four runs to go up 6-3.
Sebastian Collender hit a solo home run in the seventh inning to cut into the lead but another solo home run by the Hawks in the eighth inning shut the door for the Knights as they lost 7-4.
