AMERICUS, Ga. - The Knights hit the road again on Friday, April 17th as they headed to Americus, Georgia to take on the Hurricanes of Georgia Southwestern. The Knights were looking to carry their momentum of their last game into the series and the Hurricanes had a three-game winning streak heading into the series.

The Knights got the game started with a leadoff solo home run from
Madison Cosgrove to take an early 1-0 lead. The Hurricanes tied the game in the second inning with their own solo home run and hit two more in the third inning to take a 3-1 lead. The Knights tied the game back up in the fifth inning with an RBI double from
Nayeli Hernandez and scored the tying run on a passed ball as the game was knotted up at 3-3. The game ended in the same way that it started as the Knights grabbed the lead in the seventh inning with another solo home run from Cosgrove and held the Hurricanes off in the bottom half of the inning as they won the game 4-3.

Jada Akeson was perfect as the plate, going 4-for-4, while
Madison Cosgrove and
Nayeli Hernandez each had two hits.
