COCHRAN, Ga. - The Knights were back on their home diamond for the final time this season on Saturday, April 18th as they wrapped up their PBC series against the Hurricanes of Georgia Southwestern. The Knights looked to salvage a win after having lost the first two games of the series.
Game Recap
The Knights came ready to play as they got off to a hot start. The Knights scored four runs in the first inning with RBI singles from
Mikal Ashley and
Seve Fernandez as well as a two-run single from
Garrett Frost. The scoring continued into the second inning with an RBI single from
Patrick Crosby and a three-run home run from Ashley as the Knights held an 8-0 lead. The Knights added another run in the third inning with an RBI groundout from
Christian Dillard to put them up 9-0. The Hurricanes did not go down without a fight as they scored two runs in the fourth inning and seven runs in the fifth inning to tie the game at 9-9. The game moved along without an runs scored until the eighth inning when the Hurricanes scored a go-ahead run and the Knights were unable to produce the necessary run to tie the game back up as they lost 10-9
