CLEVELAND, Tenn. - The Knights hit the road on Tuesday, April 21st as they headed out to Cleveland, Tennessee for their final non-conference game of the season against the Flames of Lee University. The Knights were looking to break a four-game losing skid and a win over the Flames would give them the momentum heading into the final conference weekend.

The Knights led off the game with
Justin Aponte reaching on an error and
Christian Dillard made the Flames pay for their mistake as he hit an RBI double to give the Knights the 1-0 lead. The Flames answered back with three runs in both the second and third innings to put the Knights behind 6-1. After the Knights loaded the bases in the fourth inning, an RBI single by
Dayton Taylor and a sacrifice fly by
Justin Aponte cut the lead down to 6-3. The Knights scored two more runs in the sixth inning on a sacrifice fly by
Patrick Crosby and a Flames error as they shrunk the lead down to 6-5. The Knights grabbed the lead in the seventh inning with RBI singles from
Dayton Taylor and
Christian Dillard but the Flames regained the lead in the bottom half of the inning with two runs and scored another in the eighth inning as the Knights lost the game 9-7.

Christian Dillard went 4-for-5 at the plate as
Tate Abbott,
Garrett Frost, and
Dayton Taylor each added two hits.

The Knights will head back out on the road for their final Peach Belt Conference series of the season on Friday, April 24th when they head to Hardeeville, South Carolina to take on the Sand Sharks of USC-Beaufort. First pitch is scheduled for 6Â PM EST.
